Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is a self-motivated HVAC professional who enjoys solving complex mechanical and controls issues. They are comfortable working independently in commercial facilities and have a solid understanding of both HVAC equipment and modern BAS/DDC technologies to improve system reliability and energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including:
- Air handling units (AHUs)
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Troubleshoot HVAC electrical and control systems.
- Install, program, and service BAS/DDC control systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and control devices.
- Analyze HVAC system performance and recommend improvements.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and sequence of operations.
- Respond to emergency service calls.
- Document service work and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC).
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC controls and communication networks.
- Experience with one or more BAS platforms such as:
Johnson Controls Metasys
Siemens Desigo
Trane Technologies Tracer
Honeywell Honeywell
Schneider Electric EcoStruxure
- EPA Universal Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC trade school or technical degree.
- Journeyman HVAC license (where applicable).
- Experience commissioning or retro-commissioning BAS systems.
- Knowledge of energy management and building optimization.
