Job Title: Millwright

Location: Kansas City, Kansas (working in the Kansas City, Kansas, Area)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 55–65 per week, with most Saturdays required

Per Diem: $100 per day (must meet requirements)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright to join our team based out of Kansas City, Kansas Area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery. This role also includes assisting pipefitters with tasks such as basic pipe installation, support fabrication, and equipment tie-ins. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including alignment, calibration, and inspections.
  • Assist pipefitters with:
  • Basic pipe installation and layout
  • Installing pipe supports and hangers
  • Equipment tie-ins
  • Cutting, prepping, and measuring pipe
  • Follow all safety regulations and company procedures, including OSHA requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime and some Saturdays/holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program OR equivalent experience.
  • Journeyman Millwright Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
  • Basic familiarity with pipefitting tasks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industrial machinery procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to complete a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
  • Must have OSHA 10 or above.
  • Additional welding, machining, or industrial maintenance certifications are beneficial.
