Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Aerial Lift Operator to support steel erection and pre-engineered metal building projects in Abilene, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of aerial lifts in an industrial or commercial construction environment. This position plays a critical role in safely lifting personnel, tools, and materials to elevated work areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate aerial lifts (boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other elevated platforms) safely and efficiently
• Position lifts to allow ironworkers and crew members access to elevated work areas
• Inspect aerial lift equipment before and after use to ensure proper working condition
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and job site safety regulations at all times
• Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning materials as needed
• Communicate effectively with ground crew and supervisors
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to avoid hazards or obstructions
• Support steel erection and pre-engineered metal building crews as needed
• Take personal responsibility for fostering a safe workplace by following safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience operating aerial lifts in a construction or industrial setting required
• Valid aerial lift certification preferred
• Knowledge of job site safety procedures and fall protection requirements
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• OSHA 10 Construction Industry certification required (must be current within the last 5 years)
