Safety Technician
Location: Kansas City, KS (working in the De Soto, Olathe, Kansas area)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Based on Previous Experience
Per Diem: $100 per day (must meet requirements)
Schedule: 55–60 hours per week, most Saturdays required
Duration: 16-Month Project
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace hazard prevention. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant jobsite environment.
Requirements:
- OSHA 510 Certification Required
- 3–5 Years of Experience in the Construction or Safety Industry
- Strong knowledge and expert understanding of:
- OSHA Standards and Compliance
- Hazard Identification and Control Methods
- Incident Reporting and Investigation Tools
- Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and site orientations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and with field personnel
Preferred Certifications:
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- CSHO (Certified Safety & Health Official)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce jobsite safety policies and procedures
- Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
- Maintain safety documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Assist with employee safety training and onboarding
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Reliable transportation required
- PPE Required on Site
