Job Title: Millwright Supervisor

Location: Kansas City, KS (Working in the Kansas City area)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $32–$36 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 45–55 hours per week, some Saturdays required


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Supervisor to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, advanced mechanical knowledge, and the ability to oversee crews while ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

All employees must follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure a safe work environment and the production of high-quality results.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings in industrial environments
  • Perform precision alignments on motors, gearboxes, rollers, and other mechanical equipment
  • Install and maintain conveyor systems and related mechanical components
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes safely and efficiently
  • Manage and coordinate crew tasks to ensure project timelines and completion dates are met
  • Weld and use cutting torches to fabricate, modify, or repair metal components as needed
  • Use precision instruments to measure, align, and adjust equipment for proper installation and performance
  • Utilize power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders for installation and repair work
  • Use standard and metric hand tools including wrenches, sockets, allen keys, and taps
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain project schedules
  • Enforce all safety regulations and company standards on job sites

Experience, Qualifications, and Key Competencies:

  • OSHA 10-30-Hour Construction Certification required
  • Minimum 4+ years of Millwright supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Millwright experience required
  • Rigging experience required
  • Experience with heavy equipment installation and removal in Autostore or EV battery facilities is highly desirable
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced mechanical knowledge of machinery installation and mechanical systems
  • Precision installation and alignment of industrial machinery
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
  • Welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills
  • Experience working with structural and mechanical installations including conveyors, pumps, and industrial systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems

Leadership & Project Skills:

  • Proven ability to supervise and lead millwright crews
  • Ability to manage project schedules, materials, and resources
  • Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination with crews, contractors, and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and productivity
