Job Title: Apprentice Electrician
Location: Rochester, NY
Pay Rate: $22-$25 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support licensed electricians on commercial and industrial projects in the Rochester, NY area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on electrical experience while working under experienced electricians and foremen.

Completion of a New York Department of State–approved Basic Electrical Apprentice Course (5-hour, 30-hour, or 100-hour)
Job Duties:
- Assist with the installation of electrical systems
- Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and fittings using appropriate tools
- Secure brackets to bulkheads and pull wire through conduit to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals
- Replace faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, wiring, and other electrical components
- Hook up equipment for power and perform basic electrical connections
- Assist with replacing motors, transformers, generators, and controllers
- Follow direction and request guidance from Electricians and Foremen as needed
- Follow all state and local electrical codes during installation and inspection
- Install and connect wiring to circuit breakers, outlets, and transformers
- Pick up supplies and materials from vendors as required
- Work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate timesheets as instructed by the Supervisor
- Clean and organize shop areas and job sites
- Stock company vehicles with required tools, parts, and supplies
- Maintain inventory and notify the Supervisor of shortages
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in a registered electrical apprenticeship program through a school, college, or trade school

- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to read electrical schematics and follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and electrical equipment
- Ability to work safely in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding positions (bending, climbing, kneeling)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Pre-employment drug screening required
- OSHA 10 certification required
