Job Title: Manual Machinist (Non-CNC)

Location: Peoria, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Peoria, IL. This is a non-CNC position focused strictly on manual machining operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of traditional machine shop equipment and a strong understanding of machining fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual machining equipment including:
• Vertical mills
• Engine lathes
• Drill presses
• Cutoff saws
• General machine shop tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Set up machines and adjust speeds/feeds as needed
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship
• Perform routine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist (no CNC experience required)
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and shop math
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine guarding standards
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
